Reddened I don't reach deep inside the dark soil rich as it may be nurturing life Though once I sprang shooting like a star held bright beneath its grain Robust with reddened zeal I lived to stake a claim but the rains stopped and the crown of petals I once prized wilted into my soul Now I live crushed between the pages of her heart's journal lifeless but not forgotten in harrowing times I still raise her smile Willie ©2001 |

Memories are sweet indeed. I sometimes like to go through my old journals. And like the journals of your ladies heart, the memories always raise a smile. Beautiful write Willie. And may you spring like a shooting star again ![]() If she who dies with the most toys wins, then can I have some toy boys please? |

I felt as thought a flower could speak.... I enjoyed this and I can see it lying there. Always bringing a smile to a face when the page is just right. |

As one who has pressed many wild flowers into books, I felt a strong kinship with this flower of memory. A very good write. ![]() |

I saw a brilliant red rose in this poem that is kept within pages of a book of sweet memories. It gave a feeling of purpose still that the rose has when it is brought out and viewed, though dry now, still the memories make it fresh again. BRAVO!!! I love it. ![]() Love I leave with you whether it is in your life now or yet the essense of your dreams. |
