We wanted a child
To hold and love
I didn't conceive you
or winess your birth

God sent you to us from above
The day we met was like no other
For on that day, I became your mother

The young woman who gave you breath
Will always love you
Until her death

My son, You are doubly blessed
You are more loved
Than you could have guessed
It is a rare child indeed
Who can have more mothers
To love, than he can need

So, my son, if you ever doubt
How much you are loved
Never forget,
You have two mothers
And our love for you
Will never run out

And to the woman who gave you life
I say to her 'I'm in your debt'
The gift she gave me
Was from her heart
The gift of love
I call, MY SON

This poem really spoke to my heart for all three of our children have two mothers.  I will be forever grateful to the birth mothers for the wonderful gift of life they gave these three children.  Being an adoptive parent is a great joy.  Best of luck to you.  Wanda

This is such a beautiful gift of love... not just for your son, but for every adoptive parent... and all those who loved enough to let go. *S* Well done!
