"Love, certain people think it is madness"
                  - Plutarch

In it's newness true passion
addressed all that had been,
was or would be. It was a natural
and effortless harmony whose warm
waters submerged our beings simultaneously,

an Eden for two bodies.
Symbiosis of man and woman,
reunited ad infinitum since
creation in a cyclical swim
without beginning or end.

It was a meld of minds
whose gentle drift assumed
the thoughts of one in that
wordless dream where
desire has no name.

Only later would others teach
that this was ignorance
and add the devilry of shame.
Later still religion's foremost concern,
the taboo of sexuality, was revealed.

We ran, clothed in ragged
disgrace, our agape' now abashed,
our own origin now a sin.
From this we learned lust
and shackled with morals,

jealousy, distance, sought to
arouse base passion with
obstacles to inflame us. An
unyielding world set hurdles
to control our race through this time,

our race for truth........

Sagaciously said. Somehow, I get the feeling you've learned to avoid any hurdles placed in your path. You don't have to jump over them or avoid them anymore, just deny their validity and they go away.

Beautifully put! So true...our run from Eden seems a dark forest of thorns and frustration. More!

(sad sigh) All these obstacles have indeed affected our hearts, and the jealousy and lusting lies within real romantic hearts. (big hugggssssss) Oh Richard, your wisdom shines in all these wonderful words, and passion speaks from your heart so eloquently! (smiles) God Bless You, sweet friend! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Richard, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

RSWells,
I once wrote a Haiku that went something like this.

In the begining
God created the end and
We still cope with both.

Enjoyed the write.

This has a feel of Shakespeare - it's truly best read aloud I think (just as long as your boss doesn't hear you). Wonderfully done sir.

Ah, words filled with the wisdom you have learned through a lifetime of observation. A great write that opens our eyes and makes us wonder if this truly is progression.
