Stepping over
images of Vincent
strewn about the floor,

sliding silently out the door,
walking slowly to china blue seas
drowning thoughts step-by-step.

Resolution of dissolution.

Kicking memories into shifting sands,
washed away in the next tide.

Nothing left.

Blowing winds
and seagulls cried
It's over now.

(tears fall down my cheeks) Oh Kathleen, this sounds so heartbreaking! (big hugggsssss) I don't know what to say! If you ever need someone to talk to, I am always here for you as are many others here! (sad sigh) My heart is always with you, sweet friend! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Kacy, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

Wow, Kacy, this is pretty heartfelt. I don't know the story behind it, but I think I can imagine. You have penned it beautifully, and almost hauntingly. What I mean to say is, you've penned it very well.

If she who dies with the most toys wins, then can I have some toy boys please?

Noah, thanks for your tender reply. But no need to worry, I am fine. Just reminiscing.
Some experiences in life are harder to forget, no matter how many years pass.

Tracey, glad you felt it was a bit 'haunting', as it's a memory that's been a long time haunting me. I'm just getting rid of it this way.

Yes!  I loved this one as I related to it big time, and have kicked tons of sand in my day to rid myself of a man in my mind.  Great!

Try giving your smile to someone who does not have one, and I bet you'll find another.      ~* Mysteria *~

Kacy,
Kicking memories into shifting sand,
washed away in the next tide.

If only it were that easy. I'm glad to know you're okay! But tough recollections.

Thats Walt, always supportive.

Thanks, cindi for the supportive hugs. I'm glad it's ancient history, not recent.

Mysteria, thanks. Another kicker, huh? Better to kick the sand than.....

Larry, you're right, it's not so easy. But kicking the sand felt good anyway. Hugs, thanks for all those little bouncy thingies.

Serenity, let's "just duet" Soon!

What I like most about your writing is that while it seems very personal in nature...it leaves much to the reader in way of interpretation.  Awesome title!

Gosh, thanks Duncan. The title just came to me at three in the morning. And yes, I try to leave something in between the lines, a little mystery is good maybe.

When that crowd arrives, they'll not have to step over Vincent at least. Maybe Skippy, but his eyes are brown, not blue.
