~Muted Aftermath~  There are no words...they've left me In muted aftermath I've searched and know just where they are But sorrow lines the path Words buried in the rubble Weighed down by souls in weep Have died a thousand deaths and more For those who too soon sleep No syllables I utter The crimson ink has dried What's left has been diluted With endless teardrops cried In silence of remember The vigil lingers on Ne'er forgetting all we've lost With each new waking dawn ~vlraynes "...until you have read the verse on his heart, you have not truly met the poet. ~vlraynes [This message has been edited by vlraynes (edited 10-23-2001).] |
