~Muted Aftermath~

There are no words...they've left me
In muted aftermath
I've searched and know just where they are
But sorrow lines the path

Words buried in the rubble
Weighed down by souls in weep
Have died a thousand deaths and more
For those who too soon sleep

No syllables I utter
The crimson ink has dried
What's left has been diluted
With endless teardrops cried

In silence of remember
The vigil lingers on
Ne'er forgetting all we've lost
With each new waking dawn

~vlraynes

you have not truly met the poet.

(big hugggsssss) My heart cries out to the tears you've cried, but also smiles to feel the hope in every brand new day of starting over and remembering these timeless treasures! (sigh) They're always there when you need them the most, sweet friend! (big hugggssssss) Beautiful, dearest friend, I love it! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet friend, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

Vicky~
You know you also speak my heart in this piece~

Each and every day IS a reminder of what we've lost,
what loved ones are trying to come to grips with
and filled with praying the prayers of remembrance~

Even after the last piece of rubble is cleared, there will always be the quiet vigil to be kept~

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for the heart you wear~

Love you~
*Hugs* sweet friend~

Great write there Vicky. Truth spoken so well. That day will live in memory forever, and there will always be a tear when we think of it

I've searched and know just where they are
But sorrow lines the path
=====================================

and its a path we must walk to heal...
but NO..never can we forget......
thank you for this tribute and reminder Vicky...and its good to see your name here again..
we heal as we find, release, and share our words...
you have a beautiful start on it with this gem of pen.

This is beautifully composed Vicky ... you've captured the lingering sadness with grace and dignity in this piece. A very tender and thoughtful write.

Best wishes,
/Kit
