Torments of time drift by no compassion I detect in her eyes Where once was a fire, now all but dust the remains of an empire that was built with trust Thinking out loud I astound myself my selfless thoughts so pure yet all along I sought a love that was so demure Had it or not there's no question I shall not ponder lost time but deep within my cavernous heart I know that once she was mine If history teaches men lessons then this is one I repeatedly learn and all along I wish, with a passion that eternally burns For true love is my holy grail and companionship is my bond with someone who has time to understand not fix all with magic wands Richy (back from the brink of madness!) |

Hang on to those thoughts for true love to come and it will. A deep poem filled with the sadness of your soul. Keep writing....the pain will pass...time heals all they say. Love I leave with you whether it is in your life now or yet the essense of your dreams. |

"Where once was a fire, now all but dust the remains of an empire that was built with trust" Wow. What a great line. Should have written that one myself. ![]() |

Great write Richy. Good to see you back here. Been there, felt this, the wounds are still visible (and got the poetry to prove it, lol). You've penned the feelings very well, I really like this. If she who dies with the most toys wins, then can I have some toy boys please? |
