Sleepless Night

I lay in my bed, deep in thought
how do I feel? I'm so distraught.

I turn on my side and stare at the wall
I just don't know what to do about it all.

I turn on my back and stare at the ceiling.
what is this new sensation that I'm feeling?

I lay on my stomach, my face in my hand.
what do I do? I just don't understand.

I sit up in bed - I just can't sleep tonight.
There's something about me that's not right.

I lay back down and close my eyes,
wondering again in whom I can confide.

I touch the wall, then look up at the ceiling
Maybe all I need is some time to start healing.

I smile slowly as I close my eyes,
And the tear on my cheek slowly dries.

For now I know I must not weep,
As I slowly drift off to sleep.


this is my first post in open, and I decided to post my favourite. so, it's prolly awful on your standards..but I had to get a fresh perspective on something I've written. thanks!!
