I entered this poem into a contest and found out today that it is going to be published in a book of poetry called Under the QuickSilver Moon in the winter of 2002. I wrote this poem in early september but lost the original piece. This is the edited piece.

I never knew I could love someone as deeply as I love you
Although we are not together, to you I will remain true
Although I have met others my thoughts are always on you alone
All the time that I have spent with you my love and devotion have grown
You are with me always I have to push thoughts of you gently away
I never knew my emotions for you would run so deep
My heart and soul are forever yours to keep

Well girlie,  what do I say?  I didn't think you still read my poetry.  Thank you very much for your words. They mean alot to me.  I  had to put finality to alot of things(you know what i'm talking about)so that I could move on into my relationship now.  I just wanted to say (I know this is long and mushy but I have to say it)that I am very grateful for the time that you and I had together and that I wouldn't go back and change anything for the world......because you were right, I would thank you in the end for it....and this poem is my thank you to you.
