As they scuffle into the chapel They become old friends of the groom For on that side there is low rent And there’s always plenty of room They listen to the preacher Or at least someone that's ordained They let the vows pour into them To recharge their dying brains And by the time to kiss the bride Their feelings are sparked anew And then they whisper too each other “Now I know that I love you!” They would leave but time to dance And the ballroom is now their youth When they'd chase each other ‘bout And cry love was the only truth The slow dance leads to YMCA As the night is dwindling down They don’t know a person there But still the people gather ‘round To spy these wedding watchers Really move and shake their things For all will know when celebration ends A sweet melancholy brings The crowd will scuffle in their fancy cars Too much drink has started wars But the Watchers sit all starry eyed To know again what love is for! My, you're busy writing poetry tonight. I agree with Duncan, you've described it perfectly. I didn't get to go to any weddings this year and they are so much fun If she who dies with the most toys wins, then can I have some toy boys please? |

WOW Walt! This is a goodie! Why is it that all weddings, rather receptions end with doing that dumb bird dance or the YMCA? Can't figure that one. Good stuff! ~Nancy~ ~Time has cast a spell on you, |

Oh Walty...your such the romantic here. I would have loved to been a "Wedding Watcher" at your wedding. Did you do the YMCA? Receptions are so wild these days. This reminded me of "The Wedding Singer" and "My Best Friends Wedding" Thank you! Sincerely, Regina |
