Your eyes light up at the sight of diamonds and gold
We differ in many ways, let the truth be told
Sparkly diamonds are your best friends
I say they are all for show those pricey gems
Madonna sang about you, you're the material girl
Believing men are your pensonal banks in the world
Love is't measure by how much he spends on you
How he makes you feel emotionally proves
if his love is true
You are never satisfied, you crave gifts galore
If every man in the world spoiled you, youd want more
I prefer sweet men, doesn't matter if they're broke
As long as they have a good personality
and laugh at my jokes
I dont want a man who thinks he can make me happy
by reaching into his pocket, thats just wrong
I much rather him do something special for me
Like  write me a love song!
I'd put it in a frame for all to see
I'm a hopeless romantic, can you blame me?
You would ball it up and toss it in the trash
Make him feel so guilty til he spends more cash!
Especially on things that you don't even need
Racking up on useless, expensive items
just shows everyone your greed
If I want something, I'll buy it myself
If I can't afford it, I'll admire it from the shelf
When you saw that I wear silver
You thought it was funny
I'm sorry your so into price tags
And large amounts of money
If dollars were edible you'd always be hungry!
With all the money spent on you it's a shame
You cannot match presidents' faces with their names
The only thing you're aware of is that its green
Sorry to burst your royal bubble but your not a
queen
Your mouth is nonstop since your brain is so small
I like to spend my time doing creative things
like poetry and art..you prefer the mall
In your eyes I am a nerd
That's just something I'll pretend I never heard
Will you ever get tired of stickin your hand out
And faking a smile?
Stop being artificial, try being natural
once in a while!
You're 29 years old with a bad outlook on life
but you will envy me someday
When I have happiness, true love, and Mr. Right!

I feel sorry for anyone who is materialistic. Life has so much to offer that has a priceless price tag on it. BRAVO!!!You said this with passion and conviction. Very well done.

Love I leave with you whether it is in your life now or yet the essense of your dreams.

LOL at this great line:

"With all the money spent on you it's a shame
You cannot match presidents' faces with their names"

Guess you told her, but did she listen or even understand? I doubt it, but she's your sis, so you probably love her anyway, hoping she will wise up someday.

RosePetal,

This is probably the best thing I have read in a while, in that it speaks volumes to me. Even though I don't have a boyfriend, I do have friends and my favorite times with them are the simple times we spend together that don't cost a dime. Memories made with loved ones are priceless, yet when one asks how much did you spend on that activity, etc, it is the fond memory that springs to mind, not the cost. I hope I made sense here.
