DIVINE MASTER

If, as some so boldly claim
we are divine masters,
there is but one way I can see
to experience this unusual idea.
That would mean to live
in a kind, gentle and loving way;
to be willing to see beyond
the many childish ways of society;
beyond the fear and the selfishness.
What does a divine master do,
but bring fire to a cold hearth;
set a light within pervading darkness;
teach anyone willing to hear
whatever they may have done,
wherever they may have been
how to brighten
the darkened corners of their heart;
how to view enemies as neighbours
and how to view neighbours with love!

The task at hand is pretty simple:
to heighten spiritual awareness
to new levels of understanding.
There is but one tool that can do this,
but one key that fits that door
and I call it unconditional love.
