The cold click of metal
Latched the window closed
As the moist chambers of rain
Fell into her daily write

Her window seat clouded
She was not disquieted
The yawn of wet dawn
Curled her upon her page

Her favorite ink pen had emptied
She cursed the feel of a new one
Twirling it in her hair of thought
Crossing her legs and flinging shoes

The thought of her first seconds of wake
Was the delivering scent of coffee
How the nutty and bitter smell
Made her rise from the darkest sleep

This morning she tasted her daydream
Her secret envy, her flavor of far
And away..As the Bailey’s
Was resting on the hardwood floor

There she stirred inside her
The wails of voices pure
The folklore was always a lure
From her padded paisley cushions

She went out of body, scribing
The coast of an Emerald Island
There is where she kindled her Lugh
The Riddle of the mist burning light

She fevered the awakening of his skill
Simultaneous master of love & craft
On this, the water fell in sheets outside
But for Bronte..her pen wrought the Sun

Your pen flows here with words that have my head nodding in agreement. You capture the whole feeling of trying something new so well with the vision of this poem. I love it. I know these feelings and can relate. I really enjoy your poetry...it is so uniquely you.

Love I leave with you whether it is in your life now or yet the essense of your dreams.

nicely written as usual...

You do not need me to tell you that you capture quite well the scene and the thoughts, blending them into an experience for the reader. Your style so often allows the reader inside and at the same time gives them the freedom to draw from your words those things that are very personal to them... you don't need me to tell you...

but I did...

Warm thoughts to you this rainy day...

Regina, I don't know why it is that your words move me so much, but they always do.  You have this way of putting words to ink that just amazes and bewilders me.  I can't imagine what it would be like around here without sharing some of your warmth each day.  Thank you for a truly incredible read.
Hugs and more hugs.

What a lovely piece. The words flow beautifully from your pen as always. I can just picture the scene you described

It is such a treat to come in and find one of your works as I know that I will be in for a little spoiling of the soul and mind.  Wonderfully written and so well penned.  The flow was smooth and superb and the verses meld wonderfully.  What a great way to present the topic too.  I applaud you and I sincerely hope that I will get to enjoy your works more often soon.  Work does get in the way these days.  BTW.......LOVE the new photo as well.
