FORGIVENESS As I Walk a pathless mountain I think about empathy: embracing those who hurt others: for instance, should a rape victim forgive the rapist who tore into her life? Should a HIV-positive person infected from a blood transfusion, forgive the health care people who utilized tainted blood? Should a mother forgive the drunk who killed her child? What good could possibly come of this? Can any of these “should’s” walk in the same reality we do? Are these but lofty thoughts good but for those who sit and ponder covering perfectly good paper with words no one can possibly believe? Are these only examples of impractical idealism? I believe there are those who forgive the greatest of wrongs; who dare to love those who have hurt them. They do not make the headlines but sit quietly within a circle carefully drawn to release pain, horror, emptiness of heart kept locked up inside from that terrifying time. Here, touched by the light of Spirit; here, with tears of deepest sorrow they set free the birds of the night to welcome their own new dawn. |

forgiveness is not an easy thing to accept..I have often wondered how some can forgive those who murder their children...and what of those who do the same wrongs more than once...oh well..just a thought ~Wynter "The worst prison would be a closed heart". |

Forgiveness is a hard thing to give for us as human but if we want forgiven by our Heavenly Father we need to learn to forgive as well. God Bless, Heather Without the experiance of love where would we be? We would have no memories to cherish. |

forgiveness is the aura of the everything and all of Love, for human is our nature and mistakes are made, but understand, sometimes we're lost in accusations, caught in snags in our relations. answers cannot e'er be blame when all of us are much the same. i was raped which twisted living into traps of no forgiving. years went by, the war inside me, now i let the beauty guide me. life can be a tightrope walking as if hatred, hurt, is stalking. better to forgive than suffer others with our pain, the buffer of acceptance, is a blessing....... hatred in our heart's, repressing. no, we ne'er can e'er forget , yet, when forgiveness lives, we let our hearts and souls become the healing... to harbor grudges is the stealing of our souls, we can't allow. forgiveness is our Hope in vow. (thank you for your poem and for being such an inspiration. my words are minimal but all i have to express my thanks for yours.) |

"Father, forgive them. . . for they know not what they do. . . " just imagine if we could all do that. . . I think that this is a start. . . well done. . . profoundly spoken, it makes the reader think. . .and consider. . . --------------------------------------------------------- To the world, you may only be one person. But to one person, you may be the world. |

Here, touched by the light of Spirit; here, with tears of deepest sorrow they set free the birds of the night to welcome their own new dawn. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ In order to heal we must first forgive. Well done WindWalker. ~Warm hugs, Nancy~ ~I've loved you forever, in lifetimes before.~ |

i was raped which twisted living into traps of no forgiving. years went by, the war inside me, now i let the beauty guide me. life can be a tightrope walking as if hatred, hurt, is stalking. This caught my eye as I was reading your poem. Forgiveness is so hard for a thing like this. I know! Because I have been in this situation, before. Thank you for sharing this. |
