~* The Clock Ticks On *~![]() ~* The Clock Ticks On *~Strangely I feel my inner child inside, cowering from the future, all alone I hide. Deafening is the clock ticking of tomorrow, and my mind’s eye evokes so much sorrow. It awaits me and my last breath, from dusk 'til dawn it does not rest. But the sun was bright and brought about desire. The moon now is wild, and does inspire. If storms of change come crashing down, the Lord of Light will lend me his crown. My mind will speak to the shadows on the wall; with words of love I will make them all fall. My clock keeps ticking, I hear the sound, but with faith, my feet stay firm on the ground. He said, "Search your soul, and heaven’s blue sky, and listen with your heart to the songbird's cry". "Jump up and down, dance, sing, scream and shout, before you rest your head on a shore of doubt. It's there in doubt you dream a dreamer's lie, dream of faith and love, this will get you by." Still mesmerized, I awoke in morning’s rays, knowing to make the most of my remaining days. Somehow, all my fears in the night were gone. There's time to change, as the clock ticks on. midi: My Child from Dolphin's Dreams ~I always have time to listen to someone talking from their heart~ |

Nice poem! We all hear the ticking, and try our best to ignore it. |

So wise and true, Sharon. The clock of life does, indeed, tick on, and yet so many times the changing tides, closing doors and those that are opened...find us standing in the place we have always hoped and dreamed to be. One verse in this reminded me of watching you dance at the PNE in Canada...carefree and radiant...a shining inspiration for everyone around you. You gave me many smiles, and many precious memories on my visit there...and though the "clock ticks on"...those memories will remain precious gifts to me forevermore. Hugs and much love to you, always, ~*~dawn~*~

I said it before, I'll say it again, some of my favorite lines come from Hootie and the Blowfish' song "TIME" "for tomorrow's just another day, and I don't believe in time" And my clock just ticks away, wondering what the heck I meant by that. |

Magnus ~ Midnitesun - I have not worn a watch for two years unless I need it for an appointment to be on time, and I sure don't miss it. I get up and go to bed when I feel like it, eat when I feel like it, and life is good! I guess you could say I go by "my clock" now, and I should have done this years ago. I wish everyone could do this it makes you even appreciate each breath you take in, and remember it. Rambling now......thanks to you both was the bottom line ![]() ~I always have time to listen to someone talking from their heart~ |
