Wee-est elf,
gazed in a mirror,
saw himself,
and jumped in fear.

Me, Oh, My,
did wee elf cry,
This is so bad,
I hope to die.

What did elf see?
upon wee cheek,
a zit as big,
as mountain peak.

So wee elf ran,
out in the snow,
elf didn't know,
where else to go.

Then wee elf hid,
in reindeer shed,
Afraid to show,
wee pimpled head.

Wee elf, wee elf!!!
where are you hiding?
called Santa Claus,
for you we're biding.

But no wee elf,
the search was on,
Where is wee elf,
where has he gone?

Claus looked high,
and Claus looked low,
and then Claus saw,
wee tracks in snow.

He followed tracks,
to reindeer shed,
found wee-est elf,
beneath red sled.

Why are you hiding,
my wee-est worker?
It's not like you,
to be a shirker.

With trembling hand,
did wee wee elf,
point his finger,
at himself.

Just look at me,
I am wee freak,
upon my cheek,
a mountain peak.

Well Santa smiled,
said come with me,
To Mrs. Claus,
we both will see.

All of the elves,
and reindeer too,
came in for supper,
two by two.

Sat at the table,
forks in wait,
where were the Claus's,
both were late.

Also tardy,
was elf so wee,
asked elves and reindeer,
where could they be?

Then Santa Claus,
came in the hall,
with Mrs. Claus,
and elf so small.

Hand in hand,
in strolled the three,
all three happy,
as can be.

Assembled elves,
and reindeer gawked,
as cross the room,
the trio walked.

Walked to their table,
all three did sit,
On each their cheeks,
a great big zit.

This was just adorable, and hope you don't mind I kept it for someone tiny that will grow into it!  Great job and tomorrow I shall fetch out more of these wonderful poems!

Being a newcomer, and it being a rather quiet evening, I was going through the older postings and came across this. I had to laugh out loud (the cat gave me a dirty look for disturbing her peace). I think this is brilliant. Great piece. I needed the humour

Always a delight to read another in the series. I do hope you are putting these together in a book form for when the grandchildren start to come along! Adorable!
