An alteration of always |

The sun rose this morning and raising my arms above my head I arched my back and stretched, like a cat, from my nose to my toes. I smiled and greeted the day and the first thing I didn't do like I always used to was think of you. I bathed and primped, smoothed here and fluffed there- all those things us girls need to do to be ready for the day- and not once did my touch remind me of you...but I still didn't eat breakfast, it seems now that I hardly ever do. I made morning coffee break with ease, good thing for me I get paid to stay busy. I planned errands for lunch, and picked up a sandwich on the run but ended up saving it for later I made myself too busy and forgot to eat it, but that’s ok it’s a little past two and I am still not missing you. The day started dying like any day should softly sifting into the hues of the setting sun. To win my battle with thelovetoplaylovesongs dj's on the drive home I smugly put Rock'n'Roll on repeat one. Sitting out on the lawn in my new swing, I treated myself to a salad and was pleased to find that it tasted good. The whole day I had mastered my missing you. But as I climb under the covers I find I managed only an alteration. Every night my love until we meet again I will send you my goodnight's just before amen. |

Totally engrossing piece. Makes me wonder... Fool, said my Muse to me, look in thy heart and write. Philip Sidney (1554-1586) Loving in Truth |
