egging me on you safely cull my inspire as if by nature’s call you pick from fertilized eggs candling each nuance of thought seeing through the albumen finding my promise in the beating heart that shows first, before the layers of feathered skin evolve from the confines of the basket to the warmth of the hatchery you and I wait you, knowing me, not even full fledged but the pecking shall begin in enough days time, you’ve marked the calendar, you know my only question being will the chick roar? |

will the chick roar... now that conjured up an image of some half lion half fowl..that instead of peeping..roars..( chuckling) Nice poem...and the ending just gives pause to the reader... letting them think... I enjoyed! |

Cpat Hair - you know I like to play on words....think over "chick" once or twice... and then realize that I still watch old B*W kids' cartoons now and then....LOL.... RSWells....I think you got it!.... jellybeans, I liked the ending too! Thanks! |

Thank goodness for old memories of the boob tube, loved this. ~ Give the heavens above more than just a passing glance ~And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance ~ I hope you dance. (Lee Ann Womack) |

this was a fun read and the ending quite unique, for some reason it took me to "I am woman, hear me roar!" |
