I am still here Looking for the Shade of your smile And the relief of Your arms I have not deserted The hope that the Oasis of love We shared Was not a mirage I am still here Waiting for the Rains to fall and Relieve this parched Heart’s need. My roots have Gone deeply into The soil where We planted our lives And I will endure I am still here… |

You write in such a way as the reader is physically affected and touched, that "did he write this for me" thought skips across brainpans and lands in the fire, sizzling.... Excellent! |
