My girlfriend asked for my help in an assignment for her class... I tried to help and thinking of how much I missed her, this is what came about... The morning slowly brings the light Chasing away the darkness Laying the moon to rest As the sun begins to rise Waking from my gentle slumber Joyous of the day before me Loving this wonderful feeling of having you next to me Hating to leave this beautiful moment behind Remembering the moments of old Each feeling seeming brand new For the longest time I have felt only pain and sorrow But now, happiness and joy Engulf my entire being Holding you in my arms Not wanting to let you go Looking into your beautiful eyes I tell you how much I love you And how much you mean to me I remember almost drowning In the sea of turmoil Then suddenly feeling you Slowly pull me to shore Saving me from certain death Breathing new life into my being My heart was once cold as ice then you slowly ignited the fire within me My heart belongs to you my love You have given me the courage To face my fear, my inner demons I know you will always be by my side No matter how bad things may be When loneliness seems to take its toll When my friends all gone I know deep in my heart That I will always have you My love, my best friend Fear destroys the mind, depression destroys the soul... only love and compassion may save you from death. |

LonelyShadow~ 'I remember almost drowning In the sea of turmoil Then suddenly feeling you Slowly pull me to shore Saving me from certain death Breathing new life into my being My heart was once cold as ice then you slowly ignited the fire within me' You've written of the power of touch another can have on us ... and we can have on another. Very convincingly written. ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ |
