Ornamental attraction Pale when viewing is begun Withering in the summer sun, Ocean view to perfection Never wet or stray from land Planted with feet in the sand, Allowing for inspection, Growing into shades of red Spreading from the toes to head, When done from that direction, Seeking the shallow shadows Where brightness doesn’t follow Finding darkness for protection.
