spinning

...there was a life
framed by the
curve of lips
... revealed through
the smile held within
her eyes

then loneliness
became the picture
staring back
from the
nakedness of
the stark white
walls...
and the only
sound in the
room is the
humming of
a distant fan
on the other
side of her
memory,
when a warm
body
laid there
covered in
the iridescent
glow of
passion,
clinging
to the teased
and tasted
flesh and when
she placed her
fingers to
lips,
frantically
searching for the
one thing she's
always been able
to give
you witnessed
a death upon
the lips of a
solitary shadow
spinning
the fan backwards

...there was a life
