Somewhere Somewhere in the depth of spaces Raveled in a century’s twine There’s a thread of gold that laces Through the story that is mine Every past has been repeated Every future has been lived Only through the deeds completed Is one’s image finely sieved Through a mirror brightly painted Portrait of a life is spread Intertwined among the tainted Is a fragile golden thread Only I can know the sorrow Only I can feel the bliss Only love can weave tomorrow’s Golden threads of reminisce Wrapped in senses of belonging In the spaces of the blue On the mystic edge of longing Lies a dream that can come true In the width and breadth of time A million teardrops have been shed Within the story that is mine There runs a gleaming golden thread Elizabeth Santos [This message has been edited by Elizabeth Santos (edited 07-19-2001).] |

The meter and tempo are perfect Lady Santos...a singsong quality melded with a love's story that any two would want to have grace their lives... Absolutely wonderful, and a keeper.... |
