sometimes i... sometimes i lay awake at night gazing out at the neon moon letting thoughts wash over me stereo plays a familiar tune your laughter plays like music softly in my ear even though you're not there with me your heartbeat i can still hear sometimes i see you in my dreams the images so vivid and so real i call out to you on the wind your soft skin i can feel your touch lingers on me lips like sweet wine all of these things serve to remind me that you truly are mine sometimes i wonder wondering if my dreams could come true will i ever get the chance to show just how much i love you my dreams and my wishes lie on the horizon of tomorrow there will come a time when my heart is no longer filled with any sorrow sometimes i smile sweet thoughts of you fill my mind when we are together, the hands of time shift it's as though someone freezes time the sound of your sighs complete me and make me feel whole i allow the beauty of you to reach deep inside my heart and soul sometimes i cry for we're not truly together i whisper my deepest fears in the night hanging onto forever i wonder if you feel the same if you think of me when i think of you your thoughts surround me i think of you everywhere i go, everything i do tonight i shall dream dream of you and i together in love as i thank our God O'mighty for sending your love from down above when i awaken in the morning together in love we shall be tis then and only then i'll see my dreams evolve into reality amy m. kennedy july 18th 2001 "but i see your true colors, |
