The Reality of Peace

Five children from five continents
Holding hands, Five innocents
Singing, playing, dancing
All looking up to the sky
All seeing the same God

A man and a woman with a vision
Joining hands of other religion
Praying, smiling, sharing
All looking up to the sky
All seeing the same God

A soldier and an enemy shaking hands
Bloodied from battles so senseless
Crying, caring, forgiving
Both walking home to their children
Both seeing the same peace
Both blessed by the same God

Respond to my call and let the waves of my heart fill your life with the wonders of love

I missed this first time around. It is a beautiful, heartfelt poem. And a wish yet to be fulfilled, that we stop the fighting.
