Listening to every heart

A Woman Talks

emotions as mismatched
as red sock to blue
but mingled in the wash
of tides running rampant
as feelings sluice through

how could I be less than
the pacifist, reborn,
for red and blue have bruised
and is purpling my norm

quietly, this temper rides
the tempest, which will
reach a crest of crests
and like the Eagle, protect
its flock, as it protects
its nest

do not bring to me your
delusion, nor invade me
with your intrusion,
for mother you must have
none, who would protect
even an ill-begotten son

wrath and anger I’ll abide
as in slithering to crevice
you would hide
but know this, and know it
well,
in our Justice, you shall
see hell…

Nothing fights like a mother protecting her young.  May we all find that steel in the days ahead...You have found the thread.  Let us all weave the cloth.

Death comes not when we cease to breathe, but when we cease to dream.

no one knows about anger more than I do, well, hardly anyone.  They are fortunate I am not the President, not only do I have Irish blood which gives me a terrible temper at times, but I'm also Jewish, which means I'm a survivor.

thank you for this.
