In my mind's eye I see them,
Deluding themselves, the fools.
Sitting in American rooms,
Going to American flight schools,
Eating American food.
Expecting great rewards in the next life.
And all the time, Satan was laughing.

How they must have chortled,
At we Americans, who
Treated them so politely,
As we have been taught to do.
While they were planning to
Use our Americn planes against us,
At Satan's urging.

The world will not remember their daring,
But will never forget their treachery.
The world will despise them
And those who inspired them.
In their eagerness to destroy
They destroyed themselves.
And no one cares.

There are heroes in this story,
Some of them dead and some still living.
Each of them proud to be called
An American.
They will be remembered with pride,
Their names chiseled in stone.
America and the world thanks them.

Yes, we will remember the souls who were stolen. And with the help of most of the world's citizenry, the plotters will someday (hopefully soon) meet their maker and receive their just desserts.

The cowardly plotters will come to justice as this time the world has had enough, and voices all over the world are screaming for justice. Americans are strong and are standing so tall and proud. God Bless those heros who died and the plotters will end up where they belong. Great poem Joyce.
