The Heroes of September

There are heroes this September
And their list grows every day.
They came from many walks of life.
For their families we pray
And while some fled the terror
That was raining from above,
There were those who ran to help them,
Because of brotherly love.

Death did not differentiate,
But just gathered them all in,
While their cries were lost to chaos
And a great, unholy din.
But like Phoenix, from the ashes,
There's a legend being born,
All about the band of angels
That took flight that fateful morn.

As their stories are emerging
It just stengthens how we feel.
That we need to band together,
So our country starts to heal.
We hope that these sacrifices
Will a stronger nation grow,
For we know that they are watching
Over all of us below!

Their memory will never fade.
Of that you can be sure
And no matter what fate deals us,
This country will endure!

This is beautiful Betty.  We must concentrate on the heroes and there are so many.  Joyce

BettyLou~
This is a lovely tribute to those who wear such big hearts in performing actions that they don't even think of as heroic ...
just necessary~

God bless them all~

How beautifully done!  I am sure these people don't think twice about what they are doing for the cause, and this is a wonderful tribute to them.  The country will be stonger for this believe me it will.

Thank you, Betty, for giving them a second chance...a rebirth in the form of a new soul...the united family of mankind.
