Why must we look upon death, As such a horrible thing? None of those people died in vain, None of them, none of them.. None of us know what they are experiencing now, As hard as a thing it is to take in, As hard as our lives are to live through. The destitute and famished, demonic and the banished, Dejected and the ostracized, The brainwashed and the paralyzed, The conquered and objectified, Tell me what you see!! Do you shrug off the possibility, That the dead are better off than we?? Do you think if they were all still alive, They would want to see tears in our mournful eyes? As I have said before, they didn't die in vain.. The only ones who died in vain were the hijackers. And them, I pity, and them alone. Love is God. Love is war. Love is what your life is for. |

we look upon death as loss. . . and yes. . . those who died, we pray, have gone on to a far better place. . . but. . . they have left. . . and we are still here. . . and, in that light. . . we mourn them. . . we mourn what they might have done. . . we mourn what they meant to us. . . and so. . . we feel pity for them, and for their families. . . but too. . . we should feel pity for all of those that have died. . . for that is the way. . . it is the way of peace. . . powerful words. . . but. . . peace to you my friend. . . ----------------------------------------------------- To the world, you may only be one person. But to one person, you may be the world. |

I understand what you have written here EagleScorpion. It does seem as if they are in a better place. But what hurts is that their lives were snuffed out by evil. I don't think they were ready to go. Even if it was their time. I can't imagine leaving my children or my husband and the life I so want with them cut short. We have to mourn in order to appreciate them for what they did and could have done if allowed. The heart just swells up and makes me cry that way. Even if I do pray they are resting in peace somewhere far above this tragedy. Thank you for sharing Sincerely, Regina |

EagleScorpion~ We each interpret events and their consequences differently ... and allowing for that, I'll just say - My sorrow is for the loss of those INNOCENT victims who had no opportunity to live their lives to the fullest. I mourn. In a despicable act, fostered by scum of the earth, the hijackers took INNOCENT lives, along with their own, in a manner so foreign to the will of the God of my knowing. I'll cry my tears for the ones we lost, for the families and loved ones and friends left behind - but not a drop of my sorrow will fall for those who committed the act or directed it to be carried out. Pity? Pity ? For those hijackers who blindly carried out the acts of murder on innocent people ? God knows I don't share that view with you ! But ... I read you ... loud and clear. ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ |

I understand what you've written, yet I mourn for the living who have lost loved ones in this horrendous way. Each one of the family members and friends have their own personal hell to face each day and only hope that prayer and time may take away some of their personal pain that will probably stay with them for the rest of their lives. |
