Low Level Serotonin

What could possibly fill this void?
A black hole of empty space in my brain,
A dark star that has no illumination,
That goes undetected by astrologer’s telescopes.
Naked eyes couldn’t possibly see inside my skin.....
To witness the downward spiral as it begins to spin.
An eclectic brain full of depressing images,
Casting shadows on brighter days,
Even the shadows at night seem a darker shade of gray.
Nothingness..................
Depression darkens my perception,
Candles burn black flames
Paper dimmed by tearstains.
Disconnection from the world only to be placed in limbo.....
An undefined location.. No interpretations for the emotion.
Being buried beneath mental debris,
Pinned down by grief... realize time is the only relief

This is an excellent beginning to see how the world's events are affecting us all - I especially liked the line "candles burn black flames"...

Very good, young man!

way to go, Ghost - You wrote this very well.

Personally, I'm going to start smiling again even if it doesn't sink in right away.  And, little by little, I'm going to take back what belongs to me and what they tried to steal.

was promised by your face
the sound of your voice
painted on my memories
even if you're not with me
I'm with you"

You have me thinking of brighter days my man.

As my borough has always stated- Do or Die.
