From the blackened ashes
of World War II
rose the resolve of the most
victimized and least defended,
the Jews.
With great effort
Israel was born.
The Jewish Defense League
was formed, it's motto
"Never Again".

In America
we always remember.
Texans
"Remember the Alamo"
We all
"Remember Pearl Harbor".

This wasn't
the Billy Bob Militia.
This was
1,400 years of haters.
From Bosnia to Philippines,
from Southeast Europe
to Northern Africa,
across the subcontinent
to Asia.

With Northern Irelend as
the only exception,
every major world hotspot
in the last 22 years has
one common denominator.

Afghanistan,
Iran,
Iraq,
Lybia,
Syria,
all profit from our
fossil fuel greed.
Reluctance to find alternatives,
or worse,
the crimnal malfeasance in
not developing them
makes wealthy our enemies.
Ironic,
the second tower was brought down
by a plane laden with fuel.

The same who vanquished
Christianity from the Holy Land
for centuries,
Enslaved not only Europeans but
Black Africans whose descendants
are specifically recruited
to their "religion" from prisons,
who treat women as chattel,
who maim and stone to death
any who'd not follow their star,
these
are they who claim their
"god" calls to them to kill,
murder,
torture,
maim,
attack,
destroy
and hate.

Billions are wasted on our defense,
billions on our "security",
expect not only the New York skyline
but our individual freedoms
to be changed forever.

Allahu Akbar!

Remember?

"Men have lost their reason in nothing
so much as their religion, wherin stones
and clouts make martyrs"
                     --Sir Thomas Browne
                         1605-1682

man i know all the Japanese had to run for cover that lived in the states around WWII. Let's be cool to our American friends that have the same skin color as the ones that did this to all of us. Their god might be the same as the ones who did this but they didnt' do a thing. Good poem and let's remember emotions are to be directed to the organizaion and its members that did this awful thing.

it has been said many times by those so much wiser than I will ever be ...

"in the end...we are our own worst enemy."

we will never be the same.....
nor should we be.

Ironic is true. So sad Richard. So very sad that we cannot find another common denominator, (compassion) instead of hate. You have pointed out many things that will always remain the same. But we have changed forever. Thank you for sharing.

Sincerely,
Regina

Your title hit me hard. I have been guilty of wanting revenge and felt hatred in my own heart before this happened. God forgive me.
I'm ashamed of myself. God bless us all and God keep us safe, only HE is the judge, he is the one who seeks revenge, not us.

but....we must find out and punish who did this evil to our nation and our freedom.

every line hits hard with truth, truths we should not have to hear.
