Flower Feather you whose beauty rivals none in creation walking through your garden of marigolds I am reminded again of the face of the one I love the scent of your flowers fill my mind with a picture of her face, browned by the sun hair of midnight surrounding eyes of deepest brown she speaks to me in the song of your wind “Forget me not my warrior bold, my warrior strong Dream of me when day is done, and come again to me Come again to me when battle is done” butterfly, carry now my soul to her on your wings to she that holds my heart so close to her own let the scent of marigolds fill her in life as it does now fill me in death Art: Xochiquetzal by Cris Palomino ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- To the world, you may only be one person. But to one person, you may be the world. [This message has been edited by Sven (edited 09-10-2001).] |

GS, thank you my friend. . . glad that you've enjoyed. . . Melissa, thank you so much. . . but, don't pick a favorite just yet. . . there's more. . . Joyce, thank you for reading my friend. . . Chelsea, thank you. . . glad that you liked it. . . walker, many thanks to you my friend. . . I am indeed an admirer of many cultures. . . shadow, thank you so much. . . glad that you enjoyed reading this one. . . Charisma, do I use magic ink?? Well, no. . . but thank you for asking. . . A Note: Xochiquetzal was the Aztec goddess of love, flowers, and weavers. . . marigolds were considered sacred to her. According to Aztec legend, butterflies were believed to carry the souls of the dead back to their families and loved ones, to let them know that they were alright. . . ----------------------------------------------------------- To the world, you may only be one person. But to one person, you may be the world. [This message has been edited by Sven (edited 09-10-2001).] |

A purely powerful and perceptive prayer-poem. Words and thoughts given tender loving care. Enjoyed immensely. |

Did I mention that I've been reading these (although not replying yet), and you're doing wonderful with them so far, Sven Pen? You find the most amazing pictures too. Don't gain my affections then cover my eyes. Don't sweep me off my feet then fail to catch me before I hit the floor. |
