What must it feel like? How can it be? What does it feel like to be free? Chains and shackles do not hold me And yet I am a prisoner you see? Emotional scars chain my heart to thee Love beyond tears and smiles through the pain Tears that fall like acid rain Eroding my heart, filled with disdain How do I free myself from this pain? Shackled by love, controled by hate How do I find my way beyond the gate? Where is it written that this be my fate? What does it take for these demons to sate? How do I break what is my own heart? How do I force us finally to part? When can I feel that I've made a good start? Where will I be without my own heart? This is on nothing in particular...I'm amazed at how many times we are devoted to our jailors... Knight of the Rose. |

I will echo NightShadow's WOW. This was heartbreaking to read, as I am the one being broken away from, and reading this I definately got a sense of the depth of His feelings. Part disgust and contempt, part love. Great poem, it has helped open my eyes (although I don't really want to) Good job! |

why is that do you wonder?? why love the jailor? is it because they hold the keys??? makes you think. . . well done. . . ---------------------------------------------------- To the world, you may only be one person. But to one person, you may be the world. |
