Glitters like Gold

No memory should tarrie
to sadden a day
When moments we cherish
lend a smile
tucked away
~
A ring for a finger
a smile
from the heart
Attached
on a whisper ...
last breath
til we part
~
God bless us
forever
perhaps we may bide
One twist
oh so quickly
adds pain to our stride
~
Consoled
in seclusion
round turns in the road
A whisper still lingers
still glitters
like gold
~
Fools gold
must not tempt me
a taste ...
I decline
I hold riches of heart
from a whisper
devine
~~~
