Wrapped in the vines of memory Clothed in the painful song Memories of what you meant to me Of where it all went wrong. Waterfalls of hateful words, Deep rivers of bad intentions, We battled on though ubsurd Too many nights to mention. When the days became our nights And the meaning was all gone And endless love became endless fights We could see that we were wrong. So what becomes of once cherished love? Where do the feelings go? I thought it was from up above But seems more down below. I don't hate you, I never could You're heart was once my own But now we both know that we should Have left well enough alone. So you go your way, I'll go mine Never the twain shall meet And so it shall go on through time 'Ere the flames we greet. Knight of the Rose. |

Oh, what a strong poem, you said a lot here. It hurts still, when things go this way, I know. Sandra |
