M’Lady

Yes m’lady a tune for you
a lovely bit of croon for you
while you and company wait
for some future dreamland date
with a duke or prince will do.

My men and I doth wait
with song and voice to sate
the ears of your passion
with hands that would fashion
a psalm or balm to placate.

To the heart of you we sing
of magic love and wings
that lift a being high
to soar across the sky
as if all year were spring.

Our notes of lofty air
will linger for you, fair
maiden of the green,
whose maids-in-waiting preen
as if a temptress in her lair.

We’ll sing until you’re troth
to someone not a sloth
wishing you well and good
and being understood
so he’ll not spoil the broth.

If there was any wager in this challenge, my money is on you Vas. I know I could have picked the painting out of a group...you have a way with words *S*

Thanks, Rusty Knight, glad you enjoyed this one..it is a touch silly, or maybe I'm just embarassed at my attempt at using the language of the era. It was a challenge.

We tend to grow when we edge out of our comfort zone. I could not tell you were out of yours *S* I have edged (more like jumped) out of mine before....and like the add says "sometimes you feel like a nut and sometimes you don't" Thanks for sharing this, I am sure this time "you don't" *S*
