In times of smooth waters, calm before the morning, Spiders still asleep in rafters, their webs with dew glistening, the warmth of summer dwells in the lake, clouds crouching not drifting away. With not a breeze in the first of day, Not a breath of wind to make leaves rustle, No airy fingers for my hair to tussle, As I sit watching a solitary boats wake. Some early fisherman at his first casting, The calm is not long in it’s lasting As skiers ripple the surface so calm, The sun climbs and the day moves on. Gloom |

That brief quietude so easily ripples, does it not... well done Sir! |

Professor - I have been on a dock at a serene time such as this. Blast the skier who broke the spell!! Good work. Life is not measured by breaths you take, but by moments that take your breath away. |

The Quiet and The Calm . . . Rare and endangered and must be sought out. Too bad. But thanks for the poem, and the "crouching clouds". |
