Still Dreaming

I often sit and dream about the days
that could only be shared by two,
thinking about all types of things
that two caring people could do.

I wonder if there is any way
that I could ever understand,
what it's like to be able
to go walking hand in hand.

To stroll through fields of white
in a beautiful winter snow,
catching snowflakes on our tongues
as we happily go.

Walking along a shoreline
under a brilliant blue sky,
as we listened to the ocean
whispering her soft sigh.

Sitting beside a fire
watching flames as they dance,
just to be held in the spell
of a true romance.

Laying my head upon a shoulder
to take a few moments rest,
just lying there to share
a soft and tender caress.

Looking up into the skies
and thanking the Lord above,
for sending to me someone
special that I could love.

These are all little things
that I still believe in,
so deep here in my heart
I'll always still be dreaming.

Who would dare stop dreaming
when they have dreams as beautiful
as this?

Definitely great dreamy poetry...

                                    just lying there to share
                                    a soft and tender caress.

                                    Looking up into the skies
                                  and thanking the Lord above,
                                   for sending to me someone
                                    special that I could love.

Excellent!

I thought I was odd because I wrote so much about dreams....I was just not in the right company....the company of other die hard romantics....Thanks Gentle for sharing your dreams with us in such a lovely way!!
