As I listen to the palpitating heart of my mother, Earth
I hear the fluttering cries of Ojibwe flutes,
and the powerful voices of the sacred thundering drums
as they call out to the watchful eyes of Brother Eagle flying high above in cerulean skies,

"Please spread your golden eagle wings
over all the lands below,
and cover them with understanding and wisdom,
and go find your Sister Dove
who will shower the people with Love.
Bring her back to Mother Earth, where
together you might help to
mend the madness wrought by mankind
on the heart and soul of The Mother,
and restore the balance of Nature and Life."

And I breathe a sigh of gladness
and hope that our destructive acts
of human madness
will dissolve and turn to love
and respect
for The Mother
who gave us Life.

Stunningly beautiful, from a fellow Alaskan!
I must say that I enjoyed this one very much, in it's thoughts and structure!

Midnitesun, The Mother Earth needs all the help she can get.  So many humans think that what is here is theirs for the taking and take they do!!  This is such a beautiful poem and you paint such beautiful "word" pictures.  Thanks for sharing,  ME

Tracey: Thanks! (and hope you get your favorite toy)
Sunnyone: Hello friend! Glad you enjoyed it. Look for a non-frozen email from Fairbanks today.
Marge: For the perennial poetic hugger, you felt that flutter under your own wings, sister Dove.
Ethome: Thank you so much. You are one of my Brother Eagles. Stay aloft for the sake of us all.
Mother Earth: For you, may the Eagles and Doves find many nesting homes in Texas and Michigan.

Charisma: What a beautiful name! Thanks for reading and replying. Yes, Mother needs our help.
Eagle One: You have a name of great importance to our Mother. Thanks for reading. Fly high and share this message, for we must all watch how we treat our mutual Mother.
Janet Marie: Thanks! I am honored. Respect for the diversity of life, recycling, and the careful wise use of our resources is the only way our Mother will survive all the mischief her children have done for the past few generations. I believe we must share the essence of this message with everyone. Thanks for caring and sharing.
