Where did that tear come from ?
And why does my heart ache ?
I had put that all behind me,
I had to for sanity's sake.

I haven't felt this way,
in a long, long while.
I left behind your memories.
Replaced those tears with a smile.

I though I was getting better,
that I was getting over you.
Guess I was mistaken,
since I feel the way I do.

I knew I'd always miss you.
But I thought that I would heal.
So what's with this crap tonight?
Just what is the deal ?

Okay, tonight I will cry again.
I'll let my heart break into.
Tomorrow, I will smile again,
Convince myself, I don't love you.

If you can't make it so,
you need to let it go!

Sometimes it just doesn't take much to set us back. I feel your pain in this one. I hope you soon work thru it.

Kitty,

I too am sending hugs your way, for I know only two well of the pain you describe. I know you are a strong woman though and time will eventually help you to see that there will be someone out there for you. (Yes, I can believe that for you, even if I cannot believe that for me.)

Those painful memories have a way of breaking through our barriers when we least expect it! Always hard to deal with. Really enjoyed your poem.

Thanks to all of you for your kind words...
I am very down tonight and when I come to Passions and get responses from such good, kind and wonderful people as you, it always makes me feel better. I will retire to my bed tonight with thoughts of all of you and your support!
