Thin is in but she’s only skin and bones, Wandering waif falls asleep on the stones, Small for seventeen summers that had passed, Weakly existing in the sewer where cast. Principle and devotion feed the soul. Beaten when refusing to make a deal, Exchange herself for the price of a meal, Standards maintained were slowly killing her, Something within that still managed to stir. Principle and devotion feed the soul. Retreating to hide in alley’s darkness, The shadows engulfed the tiny brightness, The bliss of unconscious relieved her pain, A drop that she might not exit again. Gloom |

Shaking my head and agreeing with cpat. This does exist in our world, you capture it well with perfect flow. On the wings of words our spirits fly....and our souls are free. |

Thank you, Cpat, Lady, & Gentle, Reality is harsh, the unfortunate are many, I am pleased you enjoy my words. Gloom |
