Oh lord, revive thee child
It is you that gift the visions
The swirling of the feathers
Cloud my days with your inspiration

My gratitude for blessings so small
Such as paper and pen
But this world, imprisons me
I am the purple canary
Trying so desperately to trill
Each lyric of my composure

As the wind blows east
I try to afford my perch
Lest I sit in rusted redemption

I'm afraid
For I am beginning to courage
The thoughts of wing play
But what will I do
If my hand can no longer feed

But scribe

My heart is warbling weary
Hen pecked with my mind

Why must my cage be spinning
Giving me constant glimpses
Of everything I want to pen

I pluck my own quill
I bleed my own thoughts

Still, I cannot break free
My hue is slowly fading

To yellow

Dear Regina, you sound lost in your own thoughts, drowning in the ink which should be captured onto a page. I see that you write much more than I, the words will come with patience and the rhyme with come feeling.

Be well and please don’t be too down, our time is too short.

morning.... read this and admired the imagery and the flow so much..I wondered how it is we feel or can feel as if we are fading..our hues and words changing from bright. I realized it is the subtle in us all..the small things changing thatt at times make us feel like we are losing more..You dear lady..have not faded words here.. this is a very nicely written and very good piece of work...
I do so enjoy reading your words...I hope they never fade from these pages..

Regina, you could never be anything but a purple canary. Yellow is just too ordinary for you
Your words always touch me.

Dee

I wish you every happiness and may you always have the best of the good things in life.     a brand

Yellow and blue work well together.

Regina
You are certainly a master of your craft as you weave your words so well.  This piece was touched with sadness but so beautifully written, as usual.  Take care......Sue

This in its self is a cleverly written poem. I don't see where you have lost even a feather.

Throw your heart out in front of you
And run out to catch it.

Catalinamoon: Because You are so good to me! Thank you Sandra!

Rick: Such a kind soul you are. I will be okay. Just have to sort out my bird seed! Courage is what I need. Thanks so much for being here and your wonderful support!

Cpat: I appreciate your reply deeply. To never fade would be a dream. My reference to yellow was....cowardly...ordinary.. I guess. You all make me feel much different than that and I am so grateful for this forum! And for YOU!

Dee: Thank you so much. That is my fear. Ordinary! If I ever want to do something major with my words, ordinary would never get it. My gratitude to you!

RSWells: Thank you Richard! I'm so glad you think so. I appreciate you!

Sincerely,
Regina
