Loving You

You showered me with kindness
Right from the very start,
An acceptance of me, for who I was,
And not who you wanted me to be.
You opened a door of friendship
That was welcoming to step into,
A bright and shiny corridor,
Into your soul.

In the beginning just a simple online friendship,
But, my heart you were grasping,
Before either of us knew.
A window opened,
And you were there like a breeze
Tickling my senses,
And showing me that I was important,
Not only to myself,
But to so many others especially you.

Together we ventured past our insecurities,
Dove into a relationship of Love,
With all eyes wide open.
You have given me more than I could ever want,
More than I could ever repay,
More than even I deserve.

Loving you is like,
That tranquil feeling one gets when
All in life is cosmically balanced.
In life it doesn’t happen that often,
But with you it’s a constant frame around by being,
Protecting me, guiding me, inspiring me.

The bank of your love,
Is a direct deposit to my heart,
And always will be.

You are my castle built of so many rooms,
That can accommodate each and every one
Of my moods from one day to the next.
Each rooms decorum, a sampling of the kind,
Generous, sweet, patient, and gracious man,
You have proven to be.
If the world stopped revolving tomorrow,
I know that I would be content in your arms,
Wherever we would be.

To be accepted for who you are and not what someone wants you to be....that's love...that's it. Very nice.

My thanks to all of you for your wonderous replys to my poem, and a double thanks to you Sven for bringing it back for viewing.

I'm glad you all enjoyed what I wrote for the man whom I love dearly, and have been with for a year now. I presented him this poem for the occasion.
