Soft sadness fell from your eyes
barely making a sound

I almost turned around

but you hate it when I find you
amongst the ruin
of your choices
so I furthered out the door
left you to the voices

little comfort
could I have offered
anyway

I judge you too harshly
I remember your reasons much too well
I live with the consequences of your actions

I am you

talking to myself
begging for mercy
pleading insanity
or at the very least
uncertainty

never did I expect to choose so wrong

The self examination goes on and on and on ... chapter after chapter.
An endless topic to write about but maybe one of the best, certainly one of the truest, maybe the only true one.
Enjoyed the read.

this is so well done...how we chide ourselves because we know too much and yet, we are often way too harsh on ourselves because we keep forgetting the wonderful promise made us

When we love, we feel what the other feels. Great self exploration here,we should always reinvent ourselves,(that's where I'm at right now)there's always room for improvement.Live and learn specially from our mistakes. Love this one. Thanks.

left you to the voices

Wow, really great lines in this piece.
Those voices can be deafening at times.

May your dreams always dance to the rhythm of a lover's heartbeat...

wow..incredible piece!  it could be many things..could be a relationship falling apart..could be about only you/your reflection..it says so much..and those deafening voices..sometimes you just wish, theyd scream in a real voice..
very well written..i'll keep this one to come back and read later..

So easy to forgive others, so difficult to forgive ourselves. How much easier we would breathe if we could.
