I know the words The ways The times Still they are hidden Far from prying eyes Distanced from Searching minds Sometimes they sing Sirens song Coaxing me closer To shoals I do not Navigate well in darkness Sweet softness In the melodies and tune Belies the treacherous Too many hulls breached Too many days dry docked I listen when they sing But rarely sing Along |

I like the extra spacing between the stanzas...they make me feel as if each thought is not given up freely, but with reservation.... a true conversation of sorts, as if you were talking with someone...allowing space between comments.... and there is a mystical quality about this that pleases as well... Enjoyed... |
