Dust and Stone

She holds me in a web of love
Like the sea and the stars above
Five tentacles that sway my mind
Five senses that limit my blind.

I try my best to understand
The touch of eternity’s hand
Savor of forever’s flavor
Understand and never waver.

How many life times does it take?
To wash upon its shoal and wake
To close my eyes in dogmas blind
To the tentacles of my mind

I stand upon this passing shore
And pass into the evermore.
To eternities ever change
Yet still to me an ever strange.

I am alone upon this throne
And I will dust upon its stone.

Sweet Sy-babes...you sit upon wisdoms throne
and you my dearest poet of cadence cool and vision beyond...
will NEVER be dust ...
rainbow confetti perhaps but not dust
Your poetry etches you upon the evermore
engraves you in time's eternity
and paints your portrait upon our hearts and memory.
Dont doubt me Stinky

Feels like Im dancin with truth and wisdom
Precious rhythm you are my guide
These days are sacred, my heart is humble

JM,
Perhaps our dust will pass and mix
Affix in the winds dynamics
And we will sail the silent braille
Of future poets, inhale, exhale.
Love ya Sy

Sunshine,
Beautiful comment, *L*

Nan,

This is elegantly scribed. Almost Shakespearean in its reach. Very wonderful Seymour.

Seymour this is very nice writing.....I love these kinds of verses.....

"I try my best to understand
                The touch of eternity’s hand
                Savor of forever’s flavor
                Understand and never waver.

How many life times does it take?
To wash upon its shoal and wake
To close my eyes in dogmas blind
To the tentacles of my mind"

Great lines of searcing thoughts.....great stuff my friend!!

Someone that savours such as this could never be dust upon any stone. I think you have and will roll thru many hearts.

Sy ,
Once again gotta agree with all the above ,
however ( there's always one of them or a " but ", the last line being out of meter tends to throw me , unless that was your intent .
