When the world turns away And it seems you have no reason to live Look inside your precious heart Reflecting upon the words I give For they will be your comfort Providing strength throughout No trial should be faced alone Nor a heart filled with doubt My words remain with you Until the end of time They are said gently with love Sometimes they even rhyme They fill you up to the very brim When you feel emptiness move in With the power to renew your courage They can even wash away your sin For words are indeed mighty When said for all to hear They carry weight like actions Or can be held so very dear They can wound friend or foe Like the sharpest of swords Yet the triumph you feel Brings only empty rewards Use your words wisely When you are lashing out Because you never really know If others believe or doubt What has been said to be the truth About you or your fellow man What you know about them May only be a drop in the pan We display our words willingly For all the world to read Yet we hide who we really are Like a secret waiting to be freed If you hear something about someone Not knowing if it’s really true Go to that person and ask Was that the real you No need to judge others here among us God will hold them accountable one day They will have to atone to Him For all they do and dare say The moral of this verse then Is think before you speak For publicly attacking others Only makes you look small and weak All writing comes |

amen and amen and bravo! This says it all so well, we can vent but there comes a time when we have to keep it private! Well said. "It's easier to kill love than to nurture it" Fred Hardesty |

We display our words willingly For all the world to read Yet we hide who we really are Like a secret waiting to be freed Ahh, LW, very gentle smile. All was wonderful, but these words...ahh, you are more perceptive than the vast majority, for only we know who we ARE..hmm,all of this is outstanding..very good, you captured me today. Thank you |

LoneWolf~ 'My words remain with you Until the end of time They are said gently with love Sometimes they even rhyme' I like the thought of that~ This is very nicely done ... compassionately so~ *Hugs* ~*Marge*~ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ |

Kathleen: Thank you very much for everything. ![]() shadow974: Life teaches us wisdom always if we are open to receive it. Thanks. Logan: I see much more than what is beheld by the naked eye, my friend. I always have. Yes, only we know who we truly are. If truth be told, very few people know the real us. I am honored to have captured you for you capture me frequently with your works. Thank you! ![]() Marge: Our words shall live eternal although our bodies die. They are nice thoughts, I agree. Thank you. Sharon: I hope they do too. Much can be learned from this piece. Thank you! All writing comes |
