Virginia Salter resting there upon the shelf casting images of joy my eyes scan for reflections of those moments of employ the sparkling lights of candle’s glow the music on the air voices of laughter had we really both been there? its loneliness personified in its solitary lie of echoes in my memory my heart does fear rely so strange it is, I tell you, Sir, to hold one tiny part of the magic of that evening anywhere outside my heart to dream a dream so glorious gives wings to lilting glee could you be somewhere dreaming little dreams, Sir, just like me? © July 14, 2001 [This message has been edited by VAS (edited 07-16-2001).] |

>to dream a dream so glorious gives wings to lilting glee could you be somewhere dreaming little dreams, Sir, just like me? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This last verse reminds me of moments when dreaming of that "first love". Very nicely written. Hugs, Deb |

Thank you all, Titia, the glass slipper is what Cinderella war to the ball. One fell off as she was leaving the castle at the stroke of 12 midnight. She had one with her...thus my poem of it being on the shelf and Prince Charming had one. His men sought the kingdom for the foot that would bit the one he found on the palace steps. This was a fun fantasy to write. |

He's out there, VAS. You just have to wait for him to find you, and he will. When the time is right. All writing comes |

Oh, liked this one a lot. Don't you wonder if the other partner remembers with such depth, the things that we do? All sorts of levels in here, to me. Sandra |

Do you think the Prince was thinking of Cinderella after she staced down the rairs and slopped her dripper? The answer, of course, is yes |
