Soft waking dreams caress with memories Wash over as a constant gentle wave The present filling it with certainties: Love never turns to dust despite the grave; A treasured moment lasts forevermore Kept safe within the heart it thrives and breathes Enveloping with misted times of yore Consoling with each touch a heart that grieves. Of far more value than a precious gem More lasting than the wealth of millionaires Those love filled moments that we leave to them Will be a balm to heal their sorest cares. Tomorrow is not promised anyone Create those moments now before life’s done. 8/26/01 |
