I can't tell anyone the way I feel,
And why you dare to hear me say,
Well maybe I can tell you that,
Feelings that very few people know,
And what the most will never know,

There is no sympathetic ear,
One person like me I know,
No one to share a ray of hope,
And because no one knows these feelings,
An outcast these people become,

Pushed out of your society,
And out of your lives,
These people feel guilty,
Of what they shoudn't be made to feel,
Because nobody else has the patients to learn,

These people maybe deaf and blind,
Or disabled, Can't walk or use their hands,
But thier not there for you to stare at in the street,
These people are not alien like you dare to treat,
These people are people just like you.

You don't have a choice to die but you do have a choice how you meet it.

Moon Dust,

Well written poem you have penned here. I am disabled and in my life I have known all too well what you refer to here. I thank God for friends who don't misjudge me, and even push me to fulfill all my dreams and goals.

This poem expresses a depth of compassion for people who didn't get a choice in this life, to be as able as others are gifted to be. If only more people could realize how much there is to life by giving a little of their time to understanding how other peoples lives might just be. Thanks for sharing this poem here at Passions, I am glad I read it.

Thanks both of you means a lot. I mean its hard to tell people I have a disabilty esspecailly when I try to get work. I guess I now want people to know how I feel so they may understand, not just me but other people too.
