Well, It's 6 am. She cried and whined and whimpered. I walked her in morning mist and shadows Straining to see her black and white Without her, I wouldn't have seen The sun come up this morning. She and I on the front porch rocking I've spoiled this little baby. She yawned the wide mouth yawn Of contentment. Belly up on my chest Legs reaching straight up to heaven Freckels displayed out to the world I wish I could do that. [This message has been edited by rwood (edited 08-26-2001).] |

Dear Regina, a lovely poem and a very lucky puppy indeed. I must admit I don't see too many sunrises, our dogs are all near to the end of their teathers and sleep in longer than what I do. I enjoyed the read. Rick Have a nice sleepin tomorrow. |

I can only think of a few things in life, nicer than a sunrise That new day hug as the night silence shuts down to the music of life I love puppies too ... mine's an older puppy now but she still loves her walks and she still tugs the leash with the greatest intent to go faster I wrote a poem once about taking her for a walk ... her life's an adventure you've spread some sparkle to some old memories ... can you tell? |

puppies are so sweet. My dog's getting up there in age but he's still eager to get me up in the morning! Lovely poem, I enjoyed it ~Krista "Poetry and Hums aren't things which you get, they're things which get you. |

I do not reply to poems just to reply. When I do reply, I am truely moved. This short sweet simple little poem conveys so much with such a wonderful economy of words. BRAVO !! No one ever listened themselves into trouble. [This message has been edited by The Lonely Stranger (edited 08-26-2001).] |
